We’re passionate about the transportation industry and sharing best practices across modes.

Jesse Gutierrez, PE

As we welcome our new board, we also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Jesse Gutierrez, our Immediate Past President, for his outstanding leadership throughout the 2023-24 year. Under his leadership, the section had a successful year filled with engaging monthly meeting presentations, a scholarship golf tournament, member appreciation events, donations to Toys for Tots and Food Banks, and a strong representation at the National Conference in Raleigh, NC, where our Treasurer Susie Mason was honored as the National Member of the Year. Jesse’s visionary leadership and commitment have set a high standard for us all, and we are deeply grateful for his contributions.

Jessica Fly, PE

Looking ahead, we are excited to introduce and welcome our new president, Jessica K. Fly. and wish her all the best in the year ahead. Jessica, coming from the consulting world, brings a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience to the board. Her commitment is to continue Jesse’s legacy of success while helping the section grow even bigger. Jessica plans to focus on expanding student membership and aims to establish new student sections at Arizona universities, starting with the University of Arizona in Tucson.

We are confident that with her leadership, the ASHE Phoenix Sonoran Section will continue to thrive and achieve new heights.
